Francois completed his BComm (Financial Management) with cum laude distinction at the University of Pretoria in 1994, followed by a B.Comm (Honours) in Investment Management. He started his career as a management accountant in the Absa Group IT division and, driven by his passion for investments, qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2000. At this time, he was approached to set up an asset consulting division for the Absa Group.

During his tenure, Francois established Absa Asset Consultants as a highly successful division, managing the assets of around 100 institutional investors to the value of R50 billion. Clients included diverse institutional investors ranging from multinational corporations and Top 40 JSE-listed companies to parastatals, universities and municipalities. He also completed the Absa Development Initiative (ADI) programme, an exclusive leadership development programme for a select group of young leaders.

The Division was awarded the Chairman’s Award in 2009 and the team achieved strong growth in each of the twelve years under his leadership. Francois furthermore served on various working committees in the industry, including the Regulation 28 Workgroup of ASISA, and was regularly featured in the media.

At Absa, Morné’s first role was that of Investment Risk Analyst for three and a half years, during which time he qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Danny Streicher - Client Consulting and New Business Development
Danny Streicher Danny Streicher studied at Stellenbosch University where he obtained a BComm (Financial Management) degree. After completing his studies, Danny joined Allan Gray Ltd in Cape Town as a Client Service Consultant, where he serviced direct high-net-worth individuals and independent financial advisors. He then accepted Allan Gray’s relocation offer to Johannesburg as Business Development Manager and Private Client Consultant.

In 2006, Danny followed his dream of becoming more involved in the design and management of Investment Strategies for clients by joining Absa Asset Consultants. At Absa he was instrumental in building the client-focused vision of the Asset Consulting Division, which was to become one of the leading investment consulting businesses in Africa. In implementing this vision, the business grew exponentially - from a client and assets-under-management perspective – across South Africa, into sub-Saharan Africa, and offshore to Mauritius.

Danny’s responsibilities included the management of client services for about 100 retirement fund clients worth approximately R50 billion in assets, as well as hands-on client services from Kenya to Cape Town, new product innovation and roll out, and new business development.
